Data Processing by Social Networks

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The individual social networks we use are listed below.

Social networks such as Facebook, etc., can usually analyze your user behavior comprehensively if you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g., Like buttons or advertising banners). When you visit our social media presences, numerous data protection-relevant processing operations are triggered. Specifically:

If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. Your personal data may also be collected if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. This data collection occurs, for example, via cookies stored on your device or by recording your IP address.

With the collected data, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. This allows interest-based advertising to be displayed to you both inside and outside the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising can be displayed on all devices you are logged in to or have been logged in to.

Please also note that we cannot track all processing operations on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, additional processing operations may be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. Details can be found in the terms of use and privacy policies of the respective social media portals.

Legal Basis

Our social media presences are intended to ensure the most comprehensive presence on the internet. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g., consent under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Controller and Assertion of Rights

If you visit one of our social media presences (e.g., Facebook), we, together with the operator of the social media platform, are responsible for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. You can assert your rights (access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and complaint) generally both against us and against the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g., Facebook).

Please note that we, despite the joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, do not have full influence over the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider.

Storage Duration

The data directly collected by us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for their storage no longer applies, you request us to delete them, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your end device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory provisions - especially retention periods - remain unaffected.

We have no control over the storage duration of your data that is stored by the social network operators for their own purposes. For details, please refer to the privacy policies of the respective social network operators (e.g., their privacy policy, see below).

The Google Analytics component is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. Google Analytics uses "cookies," which are text files stored on the user's computer that enable an analysis of website usage by the user. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Your IP address will be anonymized and shortened using the _anonymizeIp() method if access to this website is from a member state of the European Union or another state that is party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. This ensures that personal identification is excluded. If the collected data is personally identifiable, it will be immediately excluded and the personal data will be deleted promptly.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for website operators, and provide other services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

Users can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting their browser software settings; however, please note that in this case, users may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent. Use of SalesViewer® Technology

On this website, data is collected and stored for marketing, market research, and optimization purposes using SalesViewer® technology from SalesViewer® GmbH, Huestr. 30, 44787 Bochum, Germany, based on the visitor's consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Google Ads with Conversion Tracking

We use the services of Google Ads. For the European region, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all Google services.

With the help of the Google Ads tool, we can draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites. We can determine the success of individual advertising measures in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns. Our goal is to show you advertisements that are of interest to you, make our website more interesting for you, and achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs. These ads are delivered by Google via so-called "Ad Servers." For this purpose, we use Ad Server Cookies, which can measure certain parameters for success, such as the display of ads or user clicks. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Ads will store a cookie on your PC. These cookies generally expire after 30 days and are not intended to personally identify you. The analysis values typically stored with this cookie include the unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions), and opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wants to be addressed). These cookies enable Google to recognize your internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an AdWords customer's website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. We do not collect or process any personal data in the stated advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can identify which advertising measures are particularly effective. We do not receive further data from the use of advertising tools, especially not information that could identify users. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Google's server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge: By integrating AdWords Conversion, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our internet presence or clicked on an ad from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or are not logged in, there is a possibility that the provider will find out and store your IP address.

You can prevent participation in this tracking process in several ways:

a) by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly, especially by suppressing third-party cookies, so that you do not receive ads from third-party providers;

b) by disabling cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”, https://www.google.com/settings/ads, with this setting being deleted if you delete your cookies;

c) by disabling interest-based ads from providers that are part of the “About Ads” self-regulation campaign via the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices, with this setting being deleted if you delete your cookies;

d) by permanently disabling it in your browsers Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome at the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

Please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the functions of this offer to their full extent. The legal basis for processing your data is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

Further information on data protection at Google can be found here: http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy and https://services.google.com/sitestats/en.html. Alternatively, you can visit the website of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at http://www.networkadvertising.org. For cases where personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/s/, which currently considers the data protection level for data transfers to the USA to be adequate.

For the application process, we generally do not require any special categories of personal data as defined in Art. 9 GDPR. We ask that you do not provide us with such information from the outset. If such information is exceptionally relevant to the application process, we will process it together with your other applicant data. This may include information about a disability, which you may voluntarily provide and which we must process to fulfill our special obligations regarding people with disabilities. In these cases, the processing serves the exercise of rights or the fulfillment of legal obligations under labor law, social security, and social protection law. The legal basis for data processing is then Art. 9 para. 2 lit. b GDPR, §§ 26 para. 3 BDSG, 164 SGB IX. Exceptionally, it may be necessary to obtain information about your health, a disability, or a criminal record to assess your suitability for the intended job. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG.
